Centurion Metering Technologies Pty Ltd is accredited by NEMMCO as a Metering Data Agent.

That means we're responsible for reading and interacting with electronic smart meters using two-way communications. So instead of sending a meter reader into your garden every three months, we collect the data every day.

We must make sure that the information collected from smart meters is accurate and reliable before it is used for the financial transactions that underpin the National Electricity Market.

Our customers are Australia's electriciy Retailers who, under the National Electricity Rules, may nominate their preferred Metering Data Agent.

As well as using metering data to bill their customers, electricity Retailers must make sure that we make the data available to Distributors, who bill them for use of electricity networks, and to NEMMCO who calculate settlements payments due to electricity Generators.

Electricity consumers will never know that we are working behind the scenes to help deliver the most efficient energy market in the world.
